Call for Posters The Africa Agriculture Science Week provides a unique opportunity to showcase how African agricultural institutions and organizations are contributing to achieving the African Vision of increasing agricultural productivity by 6% per annum. National research institutions have developed technologies and have important success stories to tell on how they have contributed to improving the livelihoods of smallholder farmers and pastoralists. Development agencies have their own experiences to share on how they have assisted farmers to increase the productivity of their holdings. Civil society organizations too have their success stories on how they have worked together with communities in creating networks of knowledge resources that respond directly to the needs of farmers. The week-long event is an opportunity that FARA has created for its constituents to enable them to share with international partners as well as partners working within the region their successes and their plans for continuing to contribute to achieving the African Vision. Posters can be submitted by any actor in the national agricultural research for development systems. They could be a research institute, development organization, an NGO, a farmers’ organization, a university, a college or a political body that is working in agriculture.
